Last night at the 2017 Royal Rumble Neville defeated WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann to become the new champion! Neville returned from injury in December at the Raw brand PPV Roadblock: End of The Line, assaulting TJ Perkins and Rich Swann after their triple-threat match with Brian Kendrick for the Cruiserweight Title, immediately inserting himself into the budding WWE Cruiserweight division and also turning heel in the process. Ever since then he has been making shockwaves throughout the division and has declared himself the “King of the Cruiserweights”, well now the king has a crown: the WWE Cruiserweight Title.
I for one have been incredibly happy with Nevilles Cruiserweight run so far, and as some people have said before, he truly is becoming the “Brock Lesnar” of the Cruiserweight division and now with the title around his waist, he truly is solidified as the final boss of the two hundred and five pounders.
