ICW And Other UK Wrestling Promotions Possibly Coming To The WWE Network

On yesterdays Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said with absolute certainty that UK professional wrestling promotion Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) will be coming to the Network down the line, and that other promotions like Progress might be soon to follow.

This is big news on the heels of the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament that was held last week, as it means that not only will the Network have its own UK Wrestling program featuring stars like Pete Dunne, Mark Andrews, and WWE UK Champion Tyler Bate, but also that there will be even more UK wrestling on the streaming service, with ICW doing its own show possibly along with a few other promotions. Some believe that this is a negative due to it seeming like WWE is “gobbling up” these prominent UK promotions, but they will still be their own separate entities from WWE, just being shown on the Network and with more exposure to a wider audience, similar to what UFC Fightpass does with smaller MMA Promotions. In my eyes, this can only be a good thing for the UK Wrestling scene and for fans like myself.

Scroll down below for a video retrospective of ICW done in 2013, and as always follow @SuplexesSpandex on Twitter for news updates from the wrestling world along with articles and reviews written by yours truly. Cheers!
