As Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed, Seth Rollins legitimately re-injured the same knee that put him out of action for months last year during the Samoa Joe attack on Monday Night Raw. Meltzer also noted that the extent of Rollins’ injury has not yet been decided, and it is unknown as of yet whether or not he will miss WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida.
This is not part of the storyline, this is reality. Guess what? Reality sucks sometimes. I was incredibly excited for a possible Samoa Joe and Seth Rollins match at Fastlane or even WrestleMania, but now it looks like Rollins could possibly even miss his second WrestleMania in a row. An incredible shame, as Rollins has had nothing but bad luck (and bad booking) since his return from injury last summer despite being one of the best all around talents in the company today. We here at Suplexes & Spandex wish Seth Rollins a very speedy and quick recovery, and hope to see him back in the ring as soon as possible.
