Yesterday at the age of 68, Salvador Guerrero III better known by his ring name Chavo Guerrero, or Chavo Classic, passed away from liver cancer.
Chavo was a Mexican wrestling legend, and a member of the famous Guerrero wrestling family. He was the oldest son of family patriarch Salvador “Gory” Guerrero, the brother of the late Eddie Guerrero, and father of Chavo Guerrero Jr. Chavo was a multiple time Mexican wrestling champion, and in 2004 he won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship from his own son Chavo in a triple threat that also involved Spike Dudley, making him the oldest WWE Cruiserweight Champion in history. Our condolences are with the Guerrero family at this time.
